September 12: Day 57

2,925 miles away from home – we finally made it to Acadia National Park in Maine. Long drive from New Hampshire but made it in time for Stewies supper. We are staying at the Seawall campground which is just across from the sea wall beach. On our walk there we came across numerous deer, who behave like pets. They are no way fearful of humans or even cars. I guess they are the product of generations of deer who have not been hunted or harmed by us. Excited to take advantage of the free shuttle system tomorrow to check out what the park has to offer
