September 10th: Day 55

A full day to explore Groton State Park which Ricker Pond is a part of. Vermont had a trial system that apparently goes all the way through the state. It is well maintained and it is shaded by trees. Because it is fairly flat, you feel like you can go on forever. You could Groton Lake from the trail so we decided to explore the beach area. There was lots of fun being had. Jet skis, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, fishing. The 17 mile ride pooped us out so we spent a good part of the day reading. Dan s reading a Tiger Woods biography and I am reading Overstory. We met our neighbors today and they are traveling around in their RV and playing disc golf. We are becoming more and more interested in that sport. No service for the 2nd day in a row. We seem to relax more when we can’t use our phones.
