Despite the history of my posts, our trip has not been all rainbows and butterflies. We have grocery shopping to do, cleaning and laundry on a weekly basis. Today we went into Montpellier to do laundry. Dan’s Uncle John and his wife Fran live here part of the year and their friends Kate and Keith who we met on grindstone Island. When we returned to our RV from doing laundry we found a note on our windshield from Keith excitedly telling us that we were merely steps from their house. I love life’s synchronicities. We had lunch and did some touring and made plans for more fun a week later. Their life stories were inspiring and gave us more ways to approach life in our retirement. We continued on to our next camping spot but not without stopping at the Von Trapp brewery along the way. Lake Elmore State Park has proven to be magical. We just happen to be here when the small town is celebrating Labor Day on the lake with picnics, swimming, and fireworks! Dan and I took it all in like students of life. It was a wake up call … life really is full of spectacular fireworks, all you have to do is look up and take notice.
